TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF ŁÓDZ

 

Technical University of Łódź (TUL) is a state university located in a second largest city of Poland – Łódź. The number of students oscillates around 20,000. They study at nine Faculties (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering, Chemistry, Material Technologies and Textile Design, Biotechnology and Food Sciences, Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Engineering, Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics, Organization and Management, Process and Environmental Engineering), seventy Institutes and 113 Departments. In 2011 ranking of Polish universities it was classified at 8th position among all universities and on the 4th position among technical universities. TUL is the leader in exchange of students through EU exchange programs like Erasmus in all Poland.

The unit that participates in the project is the Department of Heat and Mass Transfer of the Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering.

Role&Expertise: Understand and improve the drying process of aerogel materials at the laboratory and pilot scale. Simulation of ambient pressure drying.
